International film festival begun today at GDC Baramullah

Second Edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival (WLISFF) begun today at Auditorium of Government Degree College Baramulla.
This edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival (WLISFF) is being organized by Krack Productions in collaboration with GDC Baramulla marking 2nd anniversary Indie-Filmmaker group with longest-ever lineup of movies across the globe.
In three days festival total 60 movies from over 55 different countries will be screened and it is expected to attract some 1000 viewers. The highlights include 1 World Premiere, 1 International Premiere along with Asian and Local Premiers.

The films have been shortlisted by a selection committee comprising of renowned people from film industry, school of Cinema Studies and theatre including after untiring efforts.The committee has shortlisted 60 world-class films from about 600 entries received from more than 55 countries.
The goal of WLISFF is to encourage cultural diversity and understanding between nations, to foster the cinema of all continents by stimulating the development of quality cinema, to discover & encourage fresh talent in our state. Genres entertained during the selection process are films related to Social issues, Women empowerment, Child abuse, Social issues, Human rights, Mankind & Environment and war crimes.
Few renowned film makers Mr. Adnan Sheikh, Mr. Subash and Mr. Khushdeep Singh were present at the festival.

Mr. Irshad Sahab Director North Campus KU,Mr Mushtaq Ali khan (Director Actors Creative theater & KWFF), Prof. Fazili Sahab Ex. Principle GDC Baramullah and Prof.Ismail Sahab Ex Principle GDC Baramullah and Mr. Tariq Chalkoo coordinator media studies GDC Baramullah were also present on the occasion.
